The physio who has always been moving.

Hannah is the Chartered Physiotherapist behind Together We Move, and she leads every class herself. Here’s how she got here.

From the pitch to the wards to your front room.

  1. 2018

    On the pitch

Hannah has always been sporty. She played football competitively for Clontarf, and was part of the team that won the All-Ireland in 2018 at Parnell Park. It gave her an early respect for what a well-trained body can do, and how much of that comes from consistent, sensible training.

  2. At university

    Caring for older people

While she studied, Hannah worked as a carer, looking after older people. It was her first close-up look at everyday life when strength and balance start to go, and how much small things like getting out of a chair or managing the stairs matter to someone’s independence.

  3. 2021

    Qualified at UCD

Hannah studied physiotherapy at University College Dublin and qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2021.

  4. After qualifying

    The wards and the clinic

From nine to five she worked at Our Lady’s Hospice in Harold’s Cross, across the hospice and a number of rheumatology wards and other units. In the evenings she worked in private practice at a clinic. Plenty of twelve-hour days, with people at every stage: managing long-term joint conditions, recovering, or simply wanting to keep doing the things they love.

  5. Along the way

    Pilates, too

Clinical Pilates was a big part of her clinic work. She has since qualified to teach Pilates on the mat and on the Reformer (a Pilates machine), training under an instructor who is also a physiotherapist.

  6. Now

    Together We Move

All of it comes together in the classes: proper strength and balance training for women over 50, led by someone clinically trained to adapt it to your body, and delivered live, three mornings a week.

What it means for your classes

A physio, a Pilates instructor and an athlete.

  • Clinically trained

Her time on hospice and rheumatology wards means she’s used to working around injuries and long-term conditions.

  • Pilates precision

She cares about how each exercise is done, not just that it’s done, and explains what each one is for.

  • An athlete’s respect for training

Real progress comes from turning up and building steadily. The classes are designed to make you stronger.

Outside the classes

Still training, every week.

Hannah still trains herself. You’ll find her in the gym, doing Pilates, or outdoors: walking, running, anything that keeps her moving and gets her outside.
