Your questions, answered.

Everything people usually ask before joining: safety, injuries, Zoom, cameras, recordings, price and cancelling.

Before you join.

Getting started

Hannah will be in touch by WhatsApp or phone, usually within a day or two, to find a good time for a short, friendly call. On that call she’ll ask what you’re hoping to get back, answer any worries, and set you up with the link for your first class. If it turns out the class isn’t for you, that’s completely fine, and we won’t keep ringing you.

Women over 50 who want to get stronger and steadier, whether you haven’t exercised in years or you’re already active and want a proper challenge. Every exercise has an easier and a harder option, so everyone in the class is working at the right level for them.

Yes. It’s built for women coming back to movement, and it works just as well if you’re already fit and want more of a challenge. Hannah shows an easier and a harder option for every exercise, so you work at your own level and build up at your own pace. This is real strength and balance work, built to make you genuinely stronger.

Yes. Before your first class Hannah asks a few questions about your health, any injuries and what you’d like to get back. It means she can adapt the exercises for you from day one. There are no wrong answers, and it’s not a test of fitness.

Yes. Our free 3-minute strength and balance check is two simple tests you can do with a kitchen chair. It gives you a score to beat in six weeks, and if you’re 60 or over you can see how you compare with the official scores for your age. You can get it at togetherwemove.co/balance-check/.

Safety, and who leads the class

Because Hannah is a Chartered Physiotherapist, she can suggest safe ways to adapt most movements. Do tell her what you’re managing, and if you’re ever unsure about starting something new, check with your GP first. The classes are general exercise, not personal treatment.

Hannah is a Chartered Physiotherapist. She qualified from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2021, is registered with CORU (the state regulator for health and social care professionals) and is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP). She has worked at Our Lady’s Hospice in Harold’s Cross (hospice and rheumatology) and in private clinics, and is also a qualified Pilates instructor, on the mat and on the Reformer. She leads every class herself, live.

How the classes work

Classes run live on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings, 8.30–9.30am Irish time. They’re live on Zoom, so you join from home with a simple link you click before each one. Not comfortable with video calls? Tell Hannah on your call and she’ll help you get set up.

Every class is recorded, so if you can’t make it live you can train along whenever it suits. That said, joining in real time is part of what makes the group work, so we’d still nudge you to come live when you can.

No. Having it on makes it feel more like a class together, so it’s encouraged, but it’s always your choice. You’re every bit as welcome with it off.

Yes, so members who miss a class can catch up. The recording focuses on Hannah, and it stops before the chat at the end. Recordings are only shared with members, and any recording that includes a member is deleted after 8 weeks. They’re never used for advertising.

Small and friendly: a group of women all in the same boat, with nobody half your age around.

What you need

Any laptop, tablet or smartphone with Zoom. A laptop or tablet works best: you’ll see Hannah more clearly and can follow every move. If you’ve never used Zoom, tell Hannah and she’ll help you get set up before your first class.

Honestly, no. A little floor space and a sturdy chair to hold for support is plenty. If you already have a few bits at home, great: Hannah will show you how to put them to good use. If you have nothing, you’ll get just as much from the class.

Yes. The classes are online, so you can join from anywhere with an internet connection. Just remember the times are Irish time.
