Before I started the classes, I was walking my dog every day, and sea swimming in the summertime.
Elaine told me about Hannah’s interest in working with older women, running classes online. I said yes, straight away!
I was delighted to be starting. I felt committed, and although I was wrecked, I got great energy from it. I love the fact that the group are all of a similar age, with similar movement issues.
The technology was a bit of a worry. I’d had a laptop for a while, but it was on loan and had to be returned. The phone is fine, but I found it easier to connect to class with a laptop.
I had mild lymphoedema in my right arm, and my movement was restricted after an injury two years ago. I’m not even conscious of the arm or the pain any more. My flexibility is much improved, and my mood after the class is always lighter.
Hannah is an excellent teacher. She’s always enthusiastic, and the classes are always challenging and supportive. I love that she never comments on our efforts on an individual basis.
What keeps me coming back? The teacher, the group, not having to leave the house, and the exercises work.
If you’re not sure, try it for three or four classes before you decide.
I think the classes are very good value. Think of a trip to the GP, or a private consultation with a physio or a counsellor. In the health and fitness arena, doing these classes is a no-brainer.
